Hey everyone in this article I wanted to show you how to reduce a size of a PDF file
I'm gonna show you two different ways the first option I want to show you how you can do it is using
1.)Acrobat Pro DC that's the version that I'm gonna use the reason why I like this because it keeps it off the cloud
so if you have a sensitive document this is the best possible way to do it.
2.)The other one is using a software called small PDF
So let me show you how to do it with Adobe Acrobat and
If you don't have this software you could do a free trial here if you're gonna do this all the time it's really worth having this
This is not a video so i can show you but i'll help you to understand by images i used in this article.
I'm gonna go ahead and open that file with Adobe Acrobat now this works on Mac or PC
This file in order to reduce the size here is these simple steps :-
- First Go to file then go to save as other and
- Right here we do size of file right here if I press that it's gonna let me reduce it retaining existing compatibility
- You see these options here this first ones fine I'm gonna press ok and I'm gonna go ahead and save this on my desktop
- Here as small and here I'm gonna drag this over here this is a small file now and let me go ahead and look at the file size here you get your reduced file size here So it definitely reduced the size by more than 1/3 so this Adobe Acrobat option is definitely bit the best way to go Acrobat Pro now this is not Acrobat Reader the free version this does have a 7 day free trial but after that you do have to pay for it so you could check out the pricing here if this is something you're curious about you know I have a link of this it's about 15 bucks a month.

- smallpdf.com you just go to this website and say compress PDF and then you drag your PDF file here
- Now the problem with this is it's on the cloud so this is your trust in the cloud
- And this program to do it so if you really have a sensitive document I recommend using the other option so I'm gonna go ahead and choose a file here and
- I'm gonna let it upload you should take a few seconds here that's the 3 megabyte filed that I'm uploading here
- It says we compressed it by 87% so even smaller than the other file and I could have done that in the Acrobat by removing some compatibilities here let me go ahead and download that file
The resolution is not so bad so that's the two different methods you could use to compress PDF files to get a smaller PDF size out of your file.
